FAQs
Our aromatherapy products are perfect for elevating your space with uplifting or relaxing fragrances. Here's a little info, as well as a few tips for getting the most out of your aromatherapy experience.....
How do I care for my Signature Luxury Candle?

- Before burning a candle for the first time, you typically want to make sure that the candle wick(s) are approximately 1/4 inch. Our candles typically come pre-trimmed and ready for use. However, if the flame is too high, you can use scissors to gently trim the wick(s). You do NOT want to trim your wicks too short or else they will not be able to hold a flame.
- For first use, burn the candle until the top layer of wax is completely melted. This helps to prevent the candle from tunneling in later burns. (Tunneling is the result of wax melting only in the middle of the jar, near the wick(s), leaving solid wax built up around the sides of the candle jar.)
- Between each use, gently remove the softened charred portions of the candle wick(s) before burning again.
- Always burn candle for 1-4 hours for best results, allowing the full top layer of wax to melt completely.
- Be sure to extinguish the candle if it smokes or the flame is too high. See the warning label on the bottom of the candle for additional safety info.
- ENJOY!
How do I use my Home Fragrance Spray?
Our sprays can be used for a quick refresh of the air, or to perfume your surroundings in long-lasting aromas, or even to add a soothing touch to your bed linens, creating a calming atmosphere that promotes restful sleep.

Here are a few tips and tricks for perfuming your space, making every corner of your home a delightful retreat.
- Shake the home fragrance spray well before use & spray in your selected area 3+ times until you've reached the desired intensity. Fragrance can typically last up to 24 hours.
- For longer lasting experience (i.e., several days of fragrance), perfume the space by layering the spray in the air and on linens or fabrics in the area. For example, spray the bottom of curtain panels, fabric bed frames, or the backs of other upholstered furniture.
- Be sure to always patch test the spray first on each new fabric before using widely. This means spraying a small hidden section of each fabric first, letting it dry completely, and then checking for staining. If no staining occurs, it may be safe to spray on other sections of fabric to perfume the space.
- Store your spray at room temperature and away from direct sunlight or heat.
- Recommended for use for up to 3 months from purchase.
- ENJOY!
What are "clean scents" & why do we use them?
While essential oils are great for aromatherapy, synthetic fragrance oils can provide a much more diverse range of fragrance options for aromatherapy products. However, some fragrance oils contain harmful chemicals that have been linked to a number of health issues, including headaches, respiratory problems, fertility issues, and even an increased risk of breast cancer.
In order to create an amazing aromatic experience while also upholding important health and safety standards, West Rose uses synthetic fragrance oils that are mixed with essential oils and designated as clean scents. These fragrance oils use strict guidelines to produce safe and non-hazardous fragrances. Clean scents not only meet the production standards set forth by the International Fragrance Association and the Research Institute for Fragrance Materials, but they are also free of phthalates, carcinogens, toxins, mutagens, and any of the harmful chemicals found on California’s Proposition 65 list. So, you're free to enjoy a healthy and safe aromatherapy experience!

Why do we use wooden wicks in our candles?
While it’s true that wooden wicks may require a bit more of a financial investment, the rewards they bring to your aromatherapy candle experience are well worth it! Using an untreated, 100% natural fiber, like wood, has a multitude of benefits that can truly enhance your moments of relaxation.
For starters, this eco-friendly choice often delivers a superior hot throw, meaning the delightful scent of your candle spreads more effectively throughout your space, creating an inviting atmosphere. Wooden wicks also burn evenly, which helps to minimize tunneling and ensures that you get the most out of your candle. Plus, they offer a cleaner burn, resulting in less ash and carbon buildup—great for both your health and the environment!
And if that’s not enough, wooden wicks generally provide a longer burn time, allowing you to enjoy your favorite scents for even longer. To top it all off, their sleek appearance adds a touch of elegance to your decor, while the soothing crackling sound they produce can elevate your self-care routine to a whole new level of tranquility.
Why do we use coconut soy wax in our candles?
Our coconut soy wax is a delightful blend of two beloved natural waxes, coconut and soy! While a bit higher in price, this eco-friendly alternative to traditional paraffin wax not only helps the planet, but also offers a healthier and cleaner burn, producing less soot and toxins as it melts away. The addition of coconut wax in our blend ensures a longer burn time and an impressive hot throw in comparison to standard soy wax products, allowing the delightful scents to fill your space more effectively.
Rest assured, our higher end wax is well worth it--crafted with care, it's completely free of gluten, toxins, parabens, and phthalates, made solely from FDA-approved waxes. It's a perfect choice for anyone who values both quality and sustainability!
